Rajasthan is also referred to be the “Land of Maharajas”. Its palaces and forts are reminders of the many kingdoms that historically vied for the region. Rajasthan is the land of fairy tale palaces, heroism, chivalry, colourful bazaars and vibrant fairs. Look for handicrafts, folk art, miniature paintings, hand embroidered fabrics with mirror work and puppets. The state is known for Nagaur Fair, Gangaur Festival, Teej Festival, Pushkar Fair, Desert Festival etc.
